Welcome to Todd Wenzel Buick GMC Of Westland
Where do I start? I have now purchased 3 vehicles from Todd Wenzel. I’m going to gloss over the first two, so I can focus on the third. The First was a used 2017 Sierra 1500 I bought in 2018 from Greg Dawkins. Couldn’t have been a better process. Then, in 2020 we bought a used Yukon XL from Greg. This should have been a learning experience to have prevented my issue with the third purchase (which I am getting to, and shows why Todd Wenzel is the only dealer I will ever b up from again). The sort story n the Yukon is that we made the mistake of buying a used Buick Enclave from another dealer. Saw the Yukon a year later on Wenzel’s lot, went to look at it and had Greg give me a trade in value. He showed me the CarFax. The Buick was in an accident with structural damage that was hidden from us when we bought the Buick. We have five children. Keping the Buick was no longer an option. Greg and the team at Todd Wenzel went our of their way to minimize my loss and get us into the Yukon. Now, let’s talk about the 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4 I just bought from them. In October of 2020, I started looking for this truck. Of course, I reached out to Greg first, but he said he didn’t think he would be able to get one for a bit. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN PATIENT. I wasn’t. I found one at another dealer and traded in my 2017 Sierra (in which I had about $13K equity) and bought a very nice, fully loaded 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4. About 45 days later, the issues started. I won’t bore everyone with the details, but before getting it’s first oil change, that truck had to have (what I consider) two major repairs. Going through all proper channels, I told GM I understood sometimes things happen and a bad vehicle gets built. It happens to all manufacturers. I just wanted them to stand behind it. I essentially asked the dealer I bought the truck from as well as GM to just replace it. I didn’t want any money. Just give me what I paid for. A new truck I don’t have to worry about. Well, after a few weeks of back and forth, the answer was no. Needless to say, I was disheartened and frustrated...to the point I was ready to take a huge loss and go with another manufacturer and get rid of the truck. Out of nowhere, here comes the team at Todd Wenzel (AGAIN). Drew, the GM, reached out to me and said he wanted to do what he could to make it right. This blew my mind. I didn’t buy the truck from them, and they had nothing to do with the dealership I bought the truck from. Anyway, the team at Todd Wenzel, Drew and Greg (again...see a pattern???), went out of their way to help me minimize my losses and get me into what I paid for. They took the other truck off my hands, helped me minimize my losses, and got me into a truck that is a near exact replacement of the truck I was having issues with. They even asked if there were things I wanted to change on the new truck before we moved forward. They didn’t have to do this. They had NOTHING to do with the sale of the original, issue-ridden AT4. Yet, they went out of their way to take care of me. I’m currently 37 years old, and every vehicle I have ever owned has been GM. Todd Wenzel has now secured a life-long customer. And anyone who knows what I do for a living knows that I drive a lot for my job, so Lord willing, there are a lot of vehicle purchases ahead of me. TL;DR - I CANNOT recommend them highly enough This is the only dealership I will ever deal with again. Go see Greg Dawkins.
I came in looking for a red pickup truck lease to replace my current one. I’ve bought many vehicles throughout my life but this has been by far the easiest and quickest experience at a dealership. Even after they lowered my current payment on a more loaded truck, they even took the cap off and put it on my new one! Will definitely be back in 2 years. Thanks for all the hard work fellas!
I came in to turn my lease car in and wanted to go over new options. Jared greeted me at the front door with a smile and professionalism. Aaron the general sales manger came out and greeted me as well because I had an appointment. I test drove a new buick envision and absolutely loved it. It was a little higher payment then what I was currently paying on my gmc terrain but the envision is MUCH nicer...so therefor a little higher payment was ok. Still an amazing price. I would recommend these guys to anyone!! Todd Wenzel is a name I love advertising for with my new plate frame on my vehicle!! Great job!! Thank you again!!
I was only going to shop around and test drive a few trucks. The manager hooked me up with Reggie at the very start and it began a wonderful experience. Reggie went above and beyond my expectations of a dealer. He was very knowledgeable and his since of humor really helped me to relax and be myself also. I highly recommend Todd Wenzel of Westland and I recommend even more Reggie Soares as your salesman. -D. Donald
Had a great time buying a SUV from Randy at Todd Wenzel GMC, great professionalism, informative and knowledgeable of the vehicle(s). I had gone to another GMC dealership 30 minutes earlier and walked away because NO sales person acknowledged my presence inside or outside when looking at vehicles. Best thing I’ve did was walk away and go to Todd Wenzel GMC. Dan in the finance office was also very informative and explain things in detail. Thanks Randy and Dan. .
We have been purchasing vehicles from Randy Cecil (Red Hohman and now Todd Wentzel) for over 40 years. There have years where we did purchase from other dealers, but have questioned that decision later on. We have found that having Randy know our wants and needs and his experience has been extremely beneficial in our buying experience. Randy and the entire delarship team has always been there for us over the years!
Drew took care of us at the Davidson location, had issues with finance at first but all worked out. Would use again in the future.
Can't say enough about Larry White and his team at Todd Wenzel! We have purchased multiple vehicles from Mr. White and the experience has been awesome. It's disappointing that people only come online and give ratings when people slip up...mistakes will happen, but I have never experienced this at Todd Wenzel GMC/ Buick!
Recently I wrote a review giving them a very bad score. Since then the general manager from Todd Wenzel GMC contacted me and has made everything right. I will definitely recommend them in the future and will return when I need service in the future. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!! Thank you Todd Wenzel GMC!!!!!
I think you should review your salespeople. I was not greeted by not one of your salespeople. Picked up a pick up book, walked around, no one came up to me to ask if I needed help of was thinking of buying a new car. I did ask one sale lady where the pickups were, she said back by body shop and behind dealership. Lady I have a book in my hand. Nope she just left me there to go sit with another salesperson. The only one who greeted me was your receptionist. Two hours there and no one interested in making a possible sale. Hope you can figure things out with your sales people. Guess they are more interested in socializing with others then with customers
Due to an accident earlier this month I needed to replace my car on short notice. With only a few days to remaining on year-end deals a sense of urgency was important. Chevy/Ford/Dodge and GMC were in the consideration pool. Given that I purchase and hold for years rather than lease, so I was somewhat inflexible with options that had to be included in the package. Add to all this that I am detail oriented with factory specs and performance and ask detailed questions of the sales staff, you can see who ever sold the car was going to earn their sale. I visited all the above mentioned dealerships and test drove each vehicle. Ultimately Randy Cecil of Red Holman sold me a GMC Sierra. There were several actions on Randy’s part that made me confident this was the right decision. Product knowledge - First Randy was completely familiar with the details of the cars he sold, this involved understanding specs like tow ratings, option packages, and trade offs in one package over another. Randy was patient in answering questions, even those asked a second time and questions that seemed trivial. Randy went above and beyond finding the right vehicle. Though there were a few 2011 models on Red Holman’s lot, none fit exactly what I was seeking. Rather than try to sell me one of these Randy completed an exhaustive search for exactly what I was looking for. This required contacting multiple dealerships asking for their help, finally finding one over 2hrs away. When it came to financing Randy applied the same care, taking the initiative to provide analysis on the most cost effective choice between a 6yr 0 interest loan or taking the factory rebate and finding an outside loan. When comparing Randy’s professional behavior to the other 3 dealers/sales people we encountered in our search, the difference was night and day. Randy was clearly set on getting us the truck we wanted rather just selling a truck. He knew more about competitive vehicles than a few other sales professionals selling their own vehicles. Randy seemed to get the fact this was a difficult decision and was patient throughout the process. One of the first questions I asked each sales professional was how long they had been selling their respective brands and working for that dealership. Randy’s answer shocked me – over 30yrs. It is easy to see why he has lasted so long
Bar-none, Red Holman has the best sales department that I've ever experienced in any Pontiac dealership. I walked into the showroom in January of 1998 because I was interested in the brand new Ram Air Trans Am. I was a young guy just finishing high school, and I had been turned away by other dealers who all assumed I was an irresponsible kid based on my age. But at Red Holman I met Damon Sewell, who is in my estimation the world's greatest car salesperson. And since then, my family has purchased over half a dozen Pontiacs from Mr. Sewell at Red Holman Pontiac.

The entire sales staff at Red Holman is very friendly and personable, always get back to you quickly, are willing to answer any questions you may have, and -- perhaps best of all -- they know their stuff. You won't be told any wacky lies or half-truths here, unlike at some other dealers where they'll say anything to get you to buy. My dad and I both factory ordered new Trans Ams in 1998, and we were constantly kept informed of where our orders were in the build queue, when they'd be showing up, even letting us know about stuff like worker strikes that were affecting production. I never felt like I had to press the folks at Holman to do their jobs, or to extract information from them. They always gave me everything I needed to know, mostly without my even asking.

If you're looking for a Pontiac (or a Toyota or GMC, for that matter, since this dealership sells them as well), I'd highly recommend Red Holman be the first place you stop. Ask for Damon Sewell; he's a great guy.
